Coming Home God's Way...
We take this healing journey bit by bit and what? #daybyday

Facing Trauma: Taking It #daybyday?
Taking it bit by bit and day by day is taking each moment as it is, leaning from within the present, knowing that this too shall pass, building a stronger/ sustainable perspective along the way.
This practice of #dabyday is a personal daily learning/experience. Growing in trusting in the Lord.
May it be practiced alongside being gentle with yourself. For kindness and gentleness facilitate growth.
This is foundational to your journey of growth as you live day by day.

"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a litte and there a little:" -Isaiah 28:10
Coming home to yourself is the process of taking off what you believe is familiar and putting on who you truly are in Christ.

Limiting Beliefs:
What do you believe?
What you believe about healing, your story, and how it defines you will play a pivotal role in your inner-healing journey. In my own journey, I have found limiting beliefs about healing and who I am, not only within relationships but in God as well. Challenging limiting beliefs once made aware is a primary source of the abundance of healing.

May you move softly within this space, not condemning yourself or wishing you were someone different. With the help of the Lord, you are enough as you are to notice limiting beliefs, challenge them, and bring life into dead thinking.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

I'm walking into where the Spirit of the Lord lives. The place where the good work is being done.

False Narratives:
What stories do you live by?
One story I lived by was that I would never heal. I will never be healed enough for someone to love me truly. The stories we tell ourselves are not just something that we have to address, but within them is a mindset, a way that we live. Narratives are the foundation of our inner-dialogue, connecting ourselves to God, others, and who we are.
If narratives are not just called out but searched through and studied, we will call out what is on the surface without looking at the patterns in which they are rooted. The habits we developed over time allow the stories to make sense due to trauma. The Lord gives us the power to speak life by understanding what needs to be healed as it is brought to our consciousness.

"And be not confromed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is taht good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." -Romans 12:2

This healing journey is one of ebbs & flows.
There are times where the tide recedes,
but oh, how refreshing it is to receive the wave again.

Who is Daisha?
I am a writer, a visual artist, a storyteller. There are many adjectives to describe me, but when it comes to inner-healing, I can say that I am a disciple and teacher as I embark on the journey of coming home to myself again and again. I share blogs, prayers, and other encouraging anecdotes that will help you along the way on your journey.

I began my healing journey in 2010 after everything within me went completely numb and silent. Seeking help from a therapist, I was diagnosed with major depression and began looking at the deeper traumas that led me to that point over a lifetime. That was only the beginning, years later still on my healing journey, learning and teaching as I go.

Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and working as a stay-at-home mother. I live within the huge state of Texas and give lots of love to my family.

There is more about me, but you'll get to know me more as you read blog posts, follow on social media, and listen to podcast episodes.

As you heal, you will come back to yourself.
The more you come back to yourself,
the more you can see the life God has for you, clearly.
