God's Timing Is Not Fair

God’s timing is just. “Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” (Romans 8) It shares in scripture that justification is through the death of Jesus Christ, from his death and our obedience in the answer to his call we are justified because he is just. The answer to his call, means a full dedication to Christ Jesus. Where you are now a home where the spirit of Jesus can live, and who can keep you from falling in this daily walk of overcoming sinful nature.

Why overcome? It is the main purpose of what it means to live for the Lord. Living for the Lord on this side of heaven prepares you to reign and rule with him as the result of eternal life. Galatians tells us “We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” (Galatians 2:15-16)

Let’s go back to the very first sentence, did you read it? It says, “God’s timing is just.” It did not say God’s timing is not fair, God’s timing is not expedient, you can’t get his timing ordered to you same day delivery. It is just, it is meaningful, it is perfect, his timing does not coincide with what is convenient. Growing up I’d sit in church and the pastor would be sharing, I’d watch the sweat drip from the top of his bald head down to the floor or down his face. He’d walk not only past the pulpit, but down the one aisle we had in the church. You’d hear the floorboards creak or might move along with each step. With passion and vigor, he’d share the word of God and encourage the congregation. “HE MAY NOT COME WITH YOU NEED HIM...BUT HE’S WHAT!?” We’d sit up in our chairs, “ALWAYS ONTIME!!”

There is something to the declaration of truth, and for those who lived this phrase got up out of their seats and praised God. There are times when we pray and seek the Lord. As a result, nothing can happen. The answer may not come right away, you may feel like the Lord didn’t even read your message to him. He may not come when you need him the preacher said. Well, that’s all predicated on the assumption that needing him is the right time for him to come and fix it, make it right, do something different.

God’s timing is just. And we can wait on him while he is working everything for our good. We can wait on him as he builds us where he wants us to be so that we might overcome daily. We can wait on his timing because of the faith we have in Jesus Christ and his spirit we walk by daily. We can wait on him and pray as we search for another job, have hope as we wait for the time to get married, or even situations we’ve put ourselves in through disobedience to the Lord. We can wait for the timing of the Lord, because as I have learned there is a specific location that we can find and seek, abide there. That is the middle of his will. I learned this last night at a Youth Meeting service I went to. Friday Youth Meeting 1/19/2024

There is safety in being in the will of God.

There is safety and a call to abide there, it’s a place where you can walk in the cool of the night with the Lord, as it shared in Genisis Jesus walked in the cool of the night. The is safety in the timing of God, and in the timing of God his perfect will resides.

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

You don’t have to get weary in well doing, wait on him, wait on the Lord. -Daishaswritings
