Goodbye 2022! Thank you, Lord, for all the lessons and growth...

This year was full of growing pains, many moments of wondering what was going on, why I was making the decisions I was making, and wondering how I could get away from me. I ran away from God these past two years, so much so that he had to isolate me for me to hear from him.

One thing about the father’s love is that no matter what you do, no matter how far you run from him, in his love he will always seek after you because he loves you.

I still have to wrap my head around it sometimes, when I want to hide after turning my eyes away from him and back to what separated me from him, but like Peter, I rise as he pulls me up from drowning every time. Asking me to go and sin no more, asking me to keep fellowship his word and his people. Asking me to draw closer to him.

I am thankful for the friendships gained and lost. I am thankful for the hard conversations I’ve yet to have and have had. I’m thankful for my family, and above all, I’m thankful for my continued life and healing process. There is no destination on this side of heaven, there’s just more and more of him. So, thank you 2022 for the lessons, and onto the continued book of my life, Amen.
